The Korea Differently Abled Federation, representing thirty Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs), is registered and certified by the national Ministry of Health and Welfare and holds special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).

KODAF was established in 1998 when the National Assembly of Korea adopted the Charter of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs) affiliated with KODAF represent a wide range of disabilities in locations throughout the country, including most of the provinces and all major cities.

KODAF promotes disability awareness, domestic and international policies and implements capacity building projects for DPOs and individual persons with disabilities (PwD).

In 2015, KODAF organized events at the United Nations’ 8th Conference of States Party to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and for International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
