(Oct 21st 2019)
· “My child has physical disabilities and needs help. We don't have a day care center in the neighborhood, so we have to drive to different district every morning.”
· “Everyone in my family pays attention to a child almost eveyday. In fact that makes very hard and couldn't have pursuited personal matters. I wanted to share our hardships with other families with the same situation and applied for the family support, the program will help us? I don't know. ”
· "Regarding disability is being taught through the internet in kindergartens. I wonder if this kind of education will help children to understand the disability.”
Last year, the country's total birth rate was 0.98, which actually entered the world's only "birth rate of less than one." In the era of ultra-low birthrates, the current administration has announced earlier that it will significantly increase the state and public kindergartens and children's homes, as well as increase publicity.
So, are there also the growing number of care services and education for children with disabilities and infants? Only 16.2% of all children with disabilities use childcare, and 40.7% of children's homes lack special teachers.
Of course, How do we fulfill the disability rights as human rights? In this year's the fourth disabled agora, we like to hear the voices of the parties raising children with disabilities and infants, and to free up the desire for a better environment.
We would like to share the issues and wishes of the parties or their parents in caring and educating children with disabilities, such as lack of childcare facilities for the children, the reality that education is not eligible for compulsory, lack of the family support services for the children , and horrible experiences of discrimination and prejudice, et cetera.
