On April 2^nd 2018 at 5pm KODAF attended the ‘Blue Light’ Ceremony at the E-Room Center in Seoul to celebrate the International Autism Awareness Day organized by Autism Society of Korea. The ceremony was hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare with the cooperation of the Korea Differently Abled Federation.

After World Health Organization’s Day, April 2^nd is a symbolic day chosen by the UN in 2008. It aims at raising awareness and social understanding among the national and international community about autistic people, promote new diagnosis that are responses to current issues. It is also the 11^th anniversary of this event.

Among participants, representatives of DPOs, KODAF and the Autism Society of Korea attended the 'Light Blue Campaign'. It started in the conference room with cultural representations and speeches. Then everyone commemorated the day in front of the building lighting up blue!

Korea is running major ongoing actions related to autistic people and has different projects such as family support, education research development projects and implementation of autism policies, improvement of quality of life of autistic people and families.
